Our events attract a confident, entertaining crowd that is diverse and adventurous, always with a playful spirit. We welcome daters who prefer to set trends rather than follow them. The unique atmosphere of our venues greatly influences the wonderful individuals who join us.
How do I reserve my place?
To secure your spot, simply check our event schedule and register online. No physical tickets are necessary; you’ll receive a confirmation email, and your name will be added to our Guest List.
Do you screen your speed daters?
Yes, we take care to maintain a positive environment.
How do I get banned?
While we understand that dating can be emotional, we have a strict policy against any behavior that disrupts the experience for fellow daters, our hosts, or staff. We value feedback from participants and expect a respectful atmosphere. Everyone deserves to find someone nice, and we don’t tolerate anything less.
Are you affiliated with any ‘MeetUp’ groups?
We believe MeetUp is a fantastic platform for like-minded individuals to connect. However, we are skeptical of businesses that use MeetUp solely to redirect participants to their own sites. We don’t partner with organizations that engage in this practice.
What happens if the event is sold out?
We wish we could accommodate everyone, but some venues have limited space, so spots fill up quickly! You can email info@minglemn.com to inquire about joining the waitlist. Also, watch our website and Facebook for last-minute openings, as we frequently update our event calendar on both platforms.
What time should I show up for the event?
Event start times are listed in the event description. Please arrive safely before the scheduled time as we prefer to wait for all participants before beginning. The suggested time to arrive is about fifteen minutes early, allowing everyone to relax, chat with our hosts, and enjoy an included refreshment before the speed dating starts.
What is a Speed Dating ‘Date Mate’?
A ‘Date-Mate’ indicates that you have matched with someone! If both of you listed each other in the Top 5 section of your scorecard, your registered email addresses will be exchanged within 24-48 hours after the event. Only those who receive matches will be notified. If you have questions or did not receive matches, feel free to contact us at info@minglemn.com.
How long will I chat with my prospective ‘Date-Mate’?
You’ll have 6-7 minutes to converse with each potential match. For larger events, this may be reduced by a minute or two to keep things on schedule.

Don’t stress! It’s often easy to gauge chemistry in just a few minutes. You can continue chatting during breaks or after the event. Just relax and enjoy!
How will I know if I have any Speed Dating ‘Date Mates’ and how do I contact them?
Those who match will receive an email with the first name and email of their ‘Date-Mate’ within 24-48 hours after the event concludes. Your match will also get your name and email.
Is food included with my Speed Dating ticket price?
Occasionally, venues provide light snacks at their discretion.
How long does a Speed Dating event last?
Events typically last about two hours, including an intermission, depending on the number of participants.
What happens when the event is over?
That’s entirely up to you! Many daters find that the real fun begins after the official event. Feel free to stay and socialize for as long as you’d like.
How many people will I meet?
Our speed dating events vary in size, usually accommodating between 16 and 24 singles.
Can I pay without using the Internet?
Unfortunately no. All payments must be made through our secure website.
What should I wear?
Keep in mind that first impressions make an impact. Dress as you would for a first date and in a way that makes you feel comfortable. While dressing up is appreciated, we prefer a relaxed atmosphere—no riff-raff, please!
I am older or younger than your age range for the events available—may I still attend?
Absolutely! Our age ranges are just guidelines. We offer various categories, so choose the right range for you. If you don’t see a suitable option, let us know, or check back later.
Will I be photographed or filmed?
We will never photograph or film you without your explicit consent. While we host private filmed events, those are invitation-only and scheduled in advance.
What if I can’t act like a lady or gentleman?
That’s unfortunate. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for rudeness. We strive to create a positive environment and expect our daters to reflect that standard. Unacceptable behavior will result in being banned from our events. We believe this effort is appreciated by our lovely daters.
